This image shows the Vernician Society's float, displaying the different modes of dress in the North Carolina Pageant of Beauty float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming parade on October 26, 1957. Shown on the float were Joan Foy, Kermene Colson, Nancy Harris, and sitting under the archway, Carolyn Harmon. Sign on the archway reads, "NC Beauty Pageant."
