This image shows the processional walking on the Promenade towards Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, for spring commencement on May 12, 1957, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Student ambassadors walk in the front of the line, followed by professors. The Women's Gymnasium, built 1924, can be seen in the background.
