This image shows six attendees posing in front of a set of stairs before the commencement ceremony at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), circa 1965. Standing on the left is President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969). They are seen standing in front of the steps of the second Administration Building, built 1924. Commencement was held in the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, until 1968.
