This image shows a group of graduating students posing outdoors after the 1990 commencement at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Commencement ceremony was held in the Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968. On the far left is Dr. Joyce Lawrence, Dean of the Graduate School, and on the far right is Dr. Neal Lineback, Chairperson and Professor of Geography and Planning.
