This image shows a group of people attending a luncheon held in May 1977 at Appalachian State University (1967-current). People are seen sitting around a table with plates and glasses in front of them. Seated second from the left is Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979). The luncheon was held in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, and was held on the day of the spring 1977 commencement. Fourth from the left is Mrs. Jeannie Wey, wife of Chancellor Wey. On the far right is Dr. Nicholas Erneston, Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts.
