Postal Services, mail sorting, photo 1

This image shows three employees sorting through mail at the Appalachian State University (1967-current) contract station of the United States Postal Service. The University Post Office functioned on limited hours and sorted intercampus and regular mail for the University, students, and staff. They also operate mail boxes for on-campus students. It was housed in the W. H. Plemmons Student Union, built 1967, before being moved to the Student Services Building, built 1981. The University Post Office is a unit of financial management within the Office of Business Affairs.
