Registration, circa 1967, fee payment

This image shows students paying fees in one of the campus gymnasiums at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Employees can be seen seated at cafeteria tables in front of large accounting machines, where students' fees were calculated and paid. The registration process included placement tests for freshmen, class signup, payment of fees, and vaccinations from Health Services for students without proper immunizations. Mealbooks were issued after payment, and students were not allowed to register for the next term without settling all fees and tuition payments for the last term first.
