Title

Food Services, student workers

Description

This image shows two student workers employed at Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Welborn Cafeteria was the main dining hall for Appalachian State since 1925, and served food primarily grown from the University's two farms until the early 1960s. Services were expanded in the 1960s to include an ice cream parlor and the Gold Room in Plemmons Student Union. Menu visible in the background shows sundae flavors, including strawberry, chocolate, hot fudge, pineapple, butterscotch, and black raspberry.
