Description

This image shows three employees of Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). John W. Welborn, Food Services Manager, is seen standing in the middle. Welborn Hall served as the main cafeteria for Appalachian State since its opening in 1925. Food was supplied by the meat, vegetable, and dairy produce from Appalachian State's two farms, and students were required to purchase meal tickets each semester at registration.
