Description

This image shows a Campus Police patrol car on Rivers Street at the Appalachian State University (1967-current) campus. Campus security patrolled the campus day and night for safety purposes. Campus police took responsibility for campus safety and parking enforcement for the main Appalachian State campus, University Water Systems, State Farm, and Camp Broadstone. In the background is Rankin Hall, built 1963, and Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 36).
