Description

This image shows three members of the Mountaineer football team of 1955-56 on College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. The image shows, from left to right, Hill Carter, Dickie Bolin, and Harvey Ayers. The building in the background is the second Administration Building, with the corner of the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, visible on the right.
