Football Players, 1954-55, Roger E. Thomas

This image shows two members of the Mountaineer football team of 1954-55, standing around Roger E. Thomas of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (center) on College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Dr. Thomas was the team's trainer. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.
