This image shows an Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) student sitting in front of a microscope. On the table is a science textbook, a tray holding a dissected frog lying on its back, and a tray of glass slides. After 1940, science classes were held in Smith-Wright Hall, built 1940.
