This image shows six members of the Mountaineer football team of 1953-54 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967)Front row, left to right, shows Mac Smith, Bartley Harrel, Jim Kiser, and Jim Olis. In the back are Buck Hall and R. E. Cummings. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.
