This image shows Bob Clendenin and Morris Branch, two members of the Mountaineer football team of 1953-54, kneeling on the basketball court at the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.
