Football Players, 1953, Jack Groce, photo 1

This image shows Jack Groce, a member of the Mountaineer football team of 1952-53, on College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. Jack Groce later became an Assistant Football Coach at Appalachian.
