Description

Each year at Homecoming, the Playcrafters, the dramatic club at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) since 1934, produce three short one-act plays. This image shows a scene from the play "Case of the Crushed Petunia," performed in October 1954. The play included playcrafters Harold Bennett, Jeanna Coffey, Wade Wilcmouth, and Elizabeth Elliot, and was directed by Loretta Howe. The play was performed in the auditorium in the second Administration Building, built 1924. This image appears in "The Appalachian" on October 1, 1954.
