This image shows John Pyecha, a senior from Monaca, Pennsylvania. Pyecha was a member of the Men's "A" Club and played varsity basketball for all four of his years at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). He studied physical education and mathematics, and was elected Mr. Appalachian in 1955. He is seen standing on the steps in front of a brick building.
