Description

This image shows a freshman being instructed on using the booklets being distributed in the auditorium of the second Administration Building, built 1924. Booklets contained possibly tickets for the meal plan, which students were required to purchase at registration. Each book cost five dollars, with the meal plan requiring students purchase a minimum of thirteen ticket books. Freshmen were required to pay fees, including tuition, course and activity fees, housing, meal plans, and laundry expenses before the start of the term. In 1955, freshman student could expect to pay approximately $225.00 (in-state) or $310.00 (out-of-state) in expenses.
