Student Council, 1953-54, Officers

This image shows three officers of the 1953-1954 Student Council, including Don Lineberger, secretary (middle), with G. C. Davis, vice-president (left) and Chancel Brown, treasurer (right), seated in a classroom at desks in front of a blackboard. The Student Council met weekly with the Executive Council of Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), allowing a student voice in the College's decisions. It has had an official say in campus government since 1940. This image appears in the 1954 Rhododendron (p. 68).
