Description

This image shows members of the Science Club's Label Tree Program in March 1954 in front of the second Administration Building, built 1924. Also called Operation Marker, the Club designed name plates identifying the most prominent trees on campus in February, and in March put them on the trunks of the trees. First row, Edith June Sheets, Maxine Hartman, Chris Elliot, Dorothy Travis, and Jean Hopkins. Back row, Dr. Arnold Van Pelt, Michael Harrelson, unknown, David Barnhardt, and Charles Hancock.
