Description

This image shows right side of the Justice Hall parade float for Homecoming 1953. The float includes a mock casket for Emory & Henry, the football team Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) was to play that day, with four students posing as mourners and one as a preacher. In the background students can be seen watching from on the hill, with Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, behind them.
