Homecoming Queen, 1955, Myra Efird

This image shows the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) homecoming queen for 1955, freshman Myra Elaine Efird. Homecoming festivities took place in October and included a parade, plays, a dance, and the election of the Homecoming queen and court, in addition to the football game.
