In the foreground, the edge of the Women's Gymnasium, built 1924, Welbourn Cafeteria, built 1925, I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, and Watauga County Hospital, later Founders Hall, built 1932, can be seen. Lillie Shull Dougherty Hall, built 1962, can be seen behind White Hall, and faculty housing can be seen behind Lovill Home, including North Hall, later Workman Hall, built 1938, and Faculty Apartments, later Coffey Hall, built 1953, The City of Boone is in the far background, and Doughton Residence Hall, built 1963, can be seen under construction on the right.
