Title

Home Economics Building, circa 1940, photo 1

Description

This image shows the first Home Economics Building, built 1905. It served as the original Administration Building until 1924, and was renovated for the Home Economics Department in 1939. The building was completed in 1905, and renovations added food and clothing laboratories, a home management house, and a nursery school in addition to preexisting classrooms and an auditorium. The building was torn down in 1967 to make room for the third administration building, B. B. Dougherty Administration Building, completed 1968.
