Administration Building, first

Description

This image shows the southeastern (front) side of the original Administration Building, completed 1905. Also known as the Main Building, it was the second building for the Appalachian Training School (1903-1925), and included an auditorium, classrooms, and administration offices. It was remodeled in 1939 to become the Home Economics Building. Originally the east of Watauga Academy, built 1899, it was positioned on the location of the present B. B.
