Description

This image shows the northwestern side of the newly constructed Conrad Stadium during a football game in the mid-1960s.Graffiti written on the side of the fieldhouse wall reads, "CAT-U Give EM HELL," referring to Catawba College. Located at the far western end of Appalachian State, the stadium was rebuilt in 1979 and was renamed Kidd Brewer Stadium in 1988. This image appears in the 1991 Rhododendron (p. 89).
