Noyes Capehart Long (he paints and writes under the name of Noyes Capehart) was a faculty member in the Art Department at Appalachian State University from 1969 until his retirement in December 1997. Noyes Capehart's work was featured in the October 1995 issues of American Artist Magazine, and his works have been shown in national galleries and museums.
