This image shows two construction workers standing in a ditch to lay utility pipelines for the Plemmons Student Union building at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1966. Plemmons Student Union, completed in 1967, originally included the campus post office, offices for student activities, recreational and lounge areas, a coffee shop, and a restaurant.
