Description

This image shows Professors Frank Randall and Ray Derrick of the Department of Biology at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) standing outside speaking to a group of children in the 1960s. Two women can be seen standing on the right, and students can be seen sitting in the foreground. Professor John Frank Randall taught at Appalachian State from 1957 until retirement in 1989. Derrick began teaching at Appalachian State in 1946, and served as department chairman from 1956 to 1973. He retired in 1978.
