Musical Instrument Collection, 1962

This image shows William Spencer, professor and chairman of the Department of Music Education at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) standing by a collection of Chinese musical instruments in April 1962. He can be seen holding a drum. The collection was to aid students studying different instruments from around the world.
