Description

This image shows Professors Robert Randall and Ben Horton of the Department of Education at Appalachian State University (1967-current), standing on the Promenade in the 1960s. Randall began teaching and working as director of the Placement Office in 1960. Horton served as chair of the department from 1958 to 1968, when he became dean of the College of Education until 1973. He retired in 1978. Students and Dauph-Blan/Watauga Hall, built 1929, can be seen in the background.
