Standing on the right is Ms. Carolyn Coffey Taylor who at the time of this photograph was a secretary in the Prsident’s office. Later she was to become Ms. Carolyn Heavner and was the Chancellor’s Administrative Assistant.

Description

This image shows Earleen Pritchett standing with two other women in an office by a filing cabinet at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. Mrs. Pritchett served from 1947 to 1955 as secretary to J. D. Rankin, dean of the College, and assistant director of placement. She became administrative assistant to the president in 1961 and retired in 1972. She can be seen standing in the center. Standing on the right is Ms. Carolyn Coffey Taylor who at the time of this photograph was a secretary in the President's office. Later she was to become Ms. Carolyn Heavner and was the Chancellor's Administrative Assistant
