Description

This image shows Dean of the College Daniel Jay Whitener (1955-1964) and Earleen Pritchett, administrative assistant to the president at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), standing outside a theater sign in the 1960s. They are possibly standing at Camp Broadstone, purchased by the Appalachian State in 1961. Mrs. Pritchett served from 1947 to 1955 as secretary to J. D. Rankin, dean of the College, and assistant director of placement. She became administrative assistant to the president in 1961 and retired in 1972.
