Description
This image shows Luther Oliver, an employee of the Carpenter Shop at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), sitting at a table next to a wooden elephant toy he invented and patented around 1964. The wooden elephant included a tusk on a pivot holding it continuously in an upright position. Oliver worked in the Carpenter Shop since since the mid-1950s.
