Description

This image shows Eloise Melton, assistant professor in the Department of History at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) standing outside in the 1960s. Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, can be seen in the background on the left. Melton began teaching at Appalachian State in 1944 and retired in 1974.
