This image shows Eloise Melton, assistant professor in the Department of History at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) standing outside on the Promenade in the 1960s. The second Administration Building, built 1924, can be seen in the background. Melton began teaching at Appalachian State in 1944 and retired in 1974.
