Description

This image shows Isabel Jones, professor in the Department of Elementary Education, and Barbara Ferris of the Admissions Office sitting at a table at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1975. Ferris and Jones were appointed to coordinate the University's compliance with the Title IX Education Amendments of 1972, prohibiting gender discrimination in admissions or employment. Jones served as vice-chairman to the Title IX program from 1975 to 1977.
