Homecoming Game, 1960, photo 1

This image shows a student wearing a bonnet and sitting on a go-cart on College Field before the Homecoming game at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in October 1960. The Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, and students can be seen walking across the field in the background. College Field was located on the present site of Rankin Science Hall and was replaced in 1962 by Conrad Stadium.
