This image shows Charles Isley, professor in the Department of Music Education, conducting an outdoor performance of the College Band at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, can be seen in the background. Isley began working at Appalachian State in 1958 and retired in June 1978.
