Description

This image shows four members of the Eury family standing in front of the stacks looking at a bound copy of "Vanity Fair" in D. D. Dougherty Library, built 1935, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on July 10, 1962. Library Director W. L. Eury can be seen holding a book for his sisters Kathryn, Louise, and Miriam Eury to see. The three sisters were receiving masters degrees from Appalachian State during the summer commencement. Eury worked at the library at Appalachian State since 1929, and served as library director from 1945 to 1970. This image appears in the August 10, 1962, edition of "The Appalachian" (p. 2).
