This image shows James Duncan, instructor in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation and football coach at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). He can be seen kneeling on the football field at Conrad Stadium, built 1962. Duncan began working at Appalachian State in 1959.
