Description

This image shows the administrative staff of Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1963. Staff, including office secretaries, clerks, accountants, and administrative officers, can be seen standing behind a desk, and Vice-President and Comptroller David Barnard Dougherty (1955-1965), can be seen sitting. Administrative Officer Ned Trivette can be seen standing in the back on the left. Dougherty served as business manager from 1938 to 1955, and as vice-president of the College from 1955 until 1965. Trivette began working in the Office of Business Affairs in 1956, and became head of the department, later vice-chancellor, in 1965 until he retired in 1990.
