This image shows James Dellinger, assistant professor in the Department of Music in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, conducting the string orchestra at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. Dellinger began teaching at Appalachian State in 1970 as director of the Appalachian State string orchestra.
