Bookstore Staff, Howard Cottrell, circa 1960, photo 2

This image shows College Bookstore manager Howard J. Cottrell holding up a commemorative plate at his desk in the College Bookstore, built 1934, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The plate displayed a drawing of the second Administration Building and was given away during Homecoming. Cottrell began serving as bookstore manager in 1942 and retired in 1971.
