This image shows Roy Clogston, director of the Athletic Department, standing outside with Bob Allen, director of the Office of Public Affairs at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. Allen can be seen sitting on a rock. Clogston became Athletic Director in 1969 and retired in 1974. Bob Allen started working as director of Foundations, Public Relations, and News Bureau in 1960 and retired in 1971.
