Description

This image shows alumni James E. and Satie Hunt Broyhill at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. James Broyhill attended Appalachian Training School (1903-1925) from 1913 to 1917 and founded the Lenoir Furniture Company. Satie Broyhill graduated from Appalachian Training School in 1918. In addition to financial contributions, she served on the Board of Trustees during the 1950s and 1960s. They can be seen standing with an unidentified young woman.
