Description

This image shows Ben Horton, professor in the Department of Administration, Supervision, and Higher Education and assistant dean of the College of Learning and Human Development at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1978-79. Horton began teaching education at Appalachian State and other schools in 1950. He served as chair of the department from 1958 to 1968, when he became dean of the College of Education until 1973. He retired in 1978. This image appears in the 1978-79 Faculty Pictorial Directory (p. 38).
