This image shows William Strickland, professor and dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University (1967-current) for 1978-79. He taught in the Department of Philosophy and Religion starting in 1966, and was the first dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1968 to 1984. This image appears in the 1978-79 Faculty Pictorial Directory (p. 18).
