This image shows William Strickland, dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University (1967-current) for 1974-75. He can be seen sitting at a desk looking at a book. He taught in the Department of Philosophy and Religion starting in 1966, and was the first dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1968 to 1984.
